We are seeking Senior Software Developers, who have a flair for understanding complex business solutions, converting customers’ business requirements into robust software solutions, and leading the team through the development lifecycle to on-time release.

Experience developing integrated solutions in the automotive service parts, or publishing industries; or experience developing and implementing pricing management and optimization software solutions are key assets, and could put you in the lead track as a ‘subject-matter expert’ in our company.

This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in the company. We are seeking seasoned programmers to join our team at corporate headquarters in Brockville, Ontario.

You will be responsible for:

• Architecting software solutions and executing on software development plans
• Documenting and developing software code and configuring software implementations to specifications and business requirements
• Solving complex business process, data, and software performance and scaling issues using your solid understanding of the technologies in use
• Providing “hands on” technical leadership to members of the Pricedex team
• Leading the implementation and integration of customer-specific solutions
• Working with the Director of Technical Operations to deliver high quality, complete software releases

Ideal candidates will possess a number of the following desirable skills and experience or equivalencies:

• 7+ years experience in software development projects building complex applications with a multi-layer architecture
• Bachelor in Computer Science or related field is desirable
• Advanced level in ASP, VB6, C, C++ and COM
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming
• Strong knowledge of Internet technologies such as HTML, XML, XSLT, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript and VBScript
• In-depth knowledge of DAO, ADO and MS-SQL Server
• Knowledge of VB.NET and C#
• Ability to quickly grasp the Pricedex technology and customer needs, and discuss them at a conceptual level
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites and/or industry events
• Must be willing to work from headquarters in Brockville, Ontario, Canada.
