Mahle Clevite Inc., announced today that it will demonstrate its new “Print-on-Demand” capabilities at its booths at the upcoming AAPEX shows in Las Vegas, part of Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW).

“Our project to consolidate our internal product information and automate its publication to our customers is proceeding very smoothly – in fact, faster than we had originally expected,” says Mahle Clevite marketing head, Jesse Jones.

Mahle Clevite announced recently that it had selected Pricedex Software Inc. to implement its AutoPIM Proä Product Information Management (PIM) solution to manage and maintain its part and pricing information for the Mahle Clevite Inc. North American product lineup – Mahle Filter, Mahle Original, Clevite®, Perfect Circle® and Victor Reinz® brands

“Initially we thought that integrating all the brands and part numbers from our disparate operations and business systems would pose an enormous challenge.  But the Pricedex team has proven very adept at de-mystifying this complex integration challenge, and we are proceeding smoothly to achieving the conversion to a consolidated, comprehensive product information management platform on schedule.”

At the AAPEX Show in Las Vegas in late October, Mahle Clevite intends to show distributors and service shops how quickly they will be able to receive and use application guides, cross references, and price sheets.

“This will definitely be a must-see for buyers and distributors of light vehicle, performance, and commercial vehicle engine components,” says Jones.  “They will be able to see, up-front and real-time, the creation not only of applicable ACES and PIES files, but up-to-date parts bulletins, parts catalogs and price sheets – with the press of a button.”

Mahle Clevite believes the Print-on-Demand capability of the Pricedex system will be a huge competitive advantage to them as an aftermarket manufacturer because it will enable them to generate, publish and distribute up-to-date, up-to-the-minute, product information to their customers for greater coverage and more sales.
